From December 6th to 21st, daily from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Burke Lake Park will host the annual Winter Wonderland festival. Nestled in Fairfax County, the park spans over 800 acres and features a sparkling 218-acre lake, scenic forest trails, picnic areas, playgrounds, and abundant wildlife, making it one of the region’s favorite destinations for year-round outdoor recreation and family adventures. Guests will enjoy a festive atmosphere, vibrant entertainment, and a true Christmas fairytale.
Visitors will be able to ride the decorated Holiday Express, spin on the Carolers Carousel, play fun mini-golf with a gingerbread man, and then warm up by the fire while making fragrant marshmallows. The program also includes a meeting with Santa, hot chocolate, lollipops, and a host of family activities.
Winter Wonderland admission costs $20 when purchased online before the Thursday before the event and $25 on the day of the event. Children under 10 can ride the train only when accompanied by an adult; children under 2 ride free with a paying adult. Children under 42 inches tall require a ticket for the carousel; however, the accompanying adult is exempt from payment.
