The Breaux Vineyards family winery and estate is located in Purcellville, Virginia, between the foothills of the Blue Ridge and Short Hill Mountains. It sits on 404 scenic acres, 104 of which are vineyards. It all began in 1985, when the Breaux family purchased the property, planting only 3 acres of vines.
Passionate about the beauty of the place, Paul Breaux developed the winery from a home hobby to a commercial enterprise producing high-quality wines, while maintaining traditional methods, including hand planting, picking and sorting, and using modern equipment. In April 1997, Breaux Vineyards opened its doors to visitors. Since then, anyone can join unforgettable wine tours and picnics in this picturesque corner of Virginia!
Wine tours and picnics at Breaux Vineyards remain a great option for a holiday at any time of year, as each season brings its own unique colors, aromas and experiences. Walks among the vineyards, cozy tastings in the open air and a picnic with a view of the hills and wildlife, for many visitors become a way to recharge and relax.
This is a great way to relax, enjoy the atmosphere and discover a family tradition of winemaking, as in addition to walking through the picturesque hills and enjoying local wine, you can join live concerts and exciting events that take place on the territory of the winery throughout the year.
Every day, especially on weekends, guests of the ancestral estate Breaux Vineyards have a unique opportunity to look behind the scenes of wine production and taste exquisite wines. Regardless of whether you choose a morning walk among the vineyards, an evening tasting on the covered terrace “Orleans Patio” or in a cozy room decorated in the spirit of New Orleans – you will be able to have a pleasant time and meet local wine experts who will tell you all the intricacies of the art of winemaking.
Best practice is to book your visit in advance so you can choose a convenient time and save yourself stress. Please note that the winery can host weddings and special events. Busiest times are Saturday 1:30pm – 5:00pm and Sunday 2:30pm – 5:00pm. A deposit is required for groups of 6 or more, with cancellations being made no later than 48 hours in advance. Groups of 10 or more can enjoy group tastings (every hour from 11am – 3:00pm) and a VIP briefing, including a private tour of the production facility and souvenir glasses.
If, in addition to wine tasting and a pleasant gastronomic experience, you are looking for themed festivals or live music, visit the Events section on the official website, so you can add even more vivid impressions and atmospheric emotions to your trip.
